Mays-Shedd Sales Co.’s Service Department installs, maintains, and repairs equipment used in the automotive and trucking industry. Greg Kinsler has been the head of Mays Shedd’s Service Department since 1989. Brian, his son and service technician, has been a member of Mays Shedd since 2001.

Greg began in the lubricant industry as a quick lube manager servicing 100+ cars a day at three different locations he ran in the 1980’s. Through the relationships made from his days as a quick lube manager, Greg moved into the Service Department of Mays Shedd Sales to maintain the equipment of Mays Shedd’s current and new customers and improve our ability to grow.

Brian started his career at Mays Shedd Sales after school and during the summers throughout his high school days. Brian began full-time at Mays Shedd Sales right out of high school in 2001, learning from his father in the field. Brian now operates his own service truck, handle’s service calls, and trains new technicians.

In addition to the countless quick lubes, independent garages, and repair shop equipment installations, Brian and Greg have completed full-service department installations from scratch at several car dealerships and major trucking companies with several hundred trucks in their fleet. In 2015, Mays Shedd’s Service Department installed all the tanks, plumbing, and reels of a major repair hub for a national trucking fleet in Vandalia.

Mays Shedd Sales Co. Service Department provides services to a geographical range larger than that of our product delivery territory. They have done service in northern Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and West Virginia.

Are there certain brands or makes of equipment that you work on or sell?

We work on any brand of equipment. Brands we feature include: Balcrank, Aro, Graco, Z-Line, Bind Pak lifts, Rotary lifts (above and in-ground) and also many brands of air compressors and car wash equipment.

Do you handle emergency situations?

Yes. We help customers through many emergency situations and they become a top priority for the Service Department.

Is service done at Mays Shedd or does the service department travel to customer locations?

If equipment can be repaired in the field, it is done on-site. If the equipment requires further repair, it is brought to Mays Shedd for maintenance. In this case, loaner equipment can often be provided.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Anything we rebuild comes with a one-year warranty. Our workmanship is a 100% guaranteed. New equipment is based upon the manufacturer’s warranty.

What is the typical service turnaround?

Our timeframe is one to two days for non-emergency services, but it depends on exactly what’s needed.
